Events

Sand Shack™ has partnered with Crocs™ to bring you four volunteer events this summer at the Cape Cod National Seashore.

We are working with the US National Parks Service by organizing groups of people made up of people like you to come out and help preserve our beaches and oceans by doing whatever needs to be done!

Anybody can volunteer, although each date is limited to 50 volunteers!

Why Volunteer with Sand Shack?

  1. It is an opportunity for you to serve your community (see our mission to see why we do it).
  2. It is an opportunity to come out and enjoy a few hours at the Cape Cod National Seashore, one of the finest stretches of beach in the world!
  3. You will receive a lucrative goody bag for your time.

By volunteering you will receive a free piece of jewelry from www.sandshack.com (of your choice!).

You will also receive a free pair of Crocs Shoes! Through online registration you choose your shoe, your size and color.

We at Sand Shack believe in the conservation of our world's oceans and beaches, and therefore, organize ocean conservation events.

We invite every interested person to join us at the beach during these events.  Online registration is required to receive your $20 of free jewelry and a pair of free Crocs shoes.

Currently, we are in the process of selecting dates and venues for the summer of 2008. Keep checking back for updates.

2007 Volunteer Events

Sand Shack had two successful events during the summer of 2007.

On June 30th Sand Shack and our volunteers did clean up work at the Marconi Beach parking area in Wellfleet.  This job involved sweeping, weeding, and trimming bushes. It was a job the National Seashore was in great need of having done. So, we organized over 20 volunteers and did it! And we did a great job!

On July 28th we did trail work at Pilgrim Heights Trail in North Truro.  This involved working with the National Seashore maintenance crew to complete a trail project.  A trail project entailed general maintenance of the trail, such as filling in washed out areas with sand, and fixing broken fencing.  Trails are an important part of the National Seashore. Without the countless miles of trails winding through the National Seashore Park, the activities that attract so many people to the coast, such as walking, running, and biking would not be possible. It was a great day to be outside, and the work we did was tiring, but necessary.

Here are some pictures from the volunteer events this summer:

Choice of $20 worth of jewelry.
You may choose as many pieces of jewelry from www.sandshack.com up to $20 in value. If you choose to go over $20, you can opt to pay the difference.

You can never have enough Sand Shack Jewelry or Crocs shoes…therefore, you can come out for all 4 volunteer events!

See you at the beach!
